9) No Boss
As an independent contractor you are your own boss. Uber is providing you a service in which to find clients and help safely manage your income. Outside of that, Uber has little say in how you conduct your business. The company will not tell you when you should work, how you should work, or how many hours and days a week you work. If you want to take time off for a vacation, you just do it. If you want to go to lunch, no one is stopping you.
For some people not having a boss to direct you can be a challenge. With complete flexibility and the need to define your own expectations and schedule, you may find it difficult to stay focused and concentrate on work. Still, the concerns about not having a boss quickly dissolve and become one of the biggest perks to determining how you run things.
