One of the first things prospective buyers think about when deciding to purchase a new TV – aside from price – is size. For many of us, we stick with the old adage, “Go big or go home.” Old style televisions were limited on size by the technology of the day. Namely the bigger a TV got, the bigger the vacuum tubes needed to be, the heavier it got. Before long it would grow to an unmanageable size and take up most of the floor space in the living room. These days, our technology allows us to build incredibly thin and durable televisions with amazing clarity nearly as large as our imaginations will allow. In 2013, Samsung unveiled a 110-inch television available for purchase by the public, and over the last few years they, and others, have been attempting to beat that record. In 2014, a British company unveiled a 370-inch television, but that may seem excessive to most people.
