10 Wealthiest Americans and How They Got Rich

10) Larry Page

Larry Page is the CEO of Alphabet. Alphabet is a new publicly traded parent company that includes Google, Google X lab, and other businesses. One could say Larry started off by learning from his father Carl Page. Page’s father is said to be a pioneer in computer science and AI. Larry Page obtained his BS in computer engineering from the University of Michigan with honors, and a Masters from Stanford University. Eventually Larry became a part of something bigger. He started his road to fame by co-founding Google in 1998 with Sergey Grin. Page was Google’s first CEO up to 2001 and came back to the position in 2011. Page originally helped start Google from a garage in Menlo Park. The domain name was first “Googol” before later changing to Google. The company’s mission was to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. This dream of Larry Page became a reality with a million dollar loan from friends and family. Google has since then blossomed into the search engine of today because of Page’s vision. It is also the reason why Page ranks on our list.
