9 Worst Cars You Can Buy

3) Fiat 500L

The Fiat 500L is a cute compact car with a European flair that is easy to picture sporting around town or at the beach. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to save it from the critical eye of Consumer Reports. Its reliability was rated much worse than average and it was rated one of the least reliable of all new cars. According to a consumer satisfaction survey, many owners regret their purchase. The issues include an awkward driving position and stiff ride. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tested it and it scored a Poor in the small-overlap frontal test. The price range runs from $19,495-$24,795 and it gets 27 mpg. The average-looking Chevrolet Cruze doesn’t stand out as much on the road, but it’s a better buy as the top-rated compact car.
