10 Wealthiest Neighborhoods in Arizona

6) Scottsdale

The medium-sized city of Scottsdale has a population of around 246,600 and a median household income of $76,500. Known for its ranching operations and cattle driving, Scottsdale has managed to maintain a true wild west feel – except with nicer homes. Scottsdale’s downtown emits cowboy vibes and the city hosts an annual, month-long rodeo event. Perhaps all this is why Scottsdale has proclaimed itself the “Most Western Town in the West.” Despite its reputation as a “retiree” town, there’s plenty of young families living here. The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is the staple of a vibrant arts and culture scene, which boasts dozens of galleries and museums in the downtown. Golf is also a popular past time. Interestingly, Scottsdale has a waterfront due to the floodplain built along the Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt. This plus the McDowell Sonoran Preserve provides plenty of outdoor activities for residents.
