9 Secrets to Saving Money on Dining Out

daily specials

4) Seek Out Daily Specials

Many cities are known to have “dead” nights and days during which business is slow. Tuesdays are a well known industry night for those who work in food or bar service, and in this case the food and drink specials cater to local employees. On said “dead” days, many restaurants will offer exclusive specials to attract more customers. These specials are often learned through word of mouth or by contacting the bar or restaurant directly for more information as it is not intended to be widely advertised. For certain daily specials, proof of employment or status may be required in order to receive the full discount offered (i.e. government or military issued ID, liquor or food handling license, student ID, medical professional ID, etc.).
