4) Dairy Products
When it comes to dairy products, you’ll typically get the same quality from store brands as you would from name brands. In fact, many store brand and name brand milks originate from the same farms. Before buying name brand milk, be sure to check its label and the label of the store brand milk to see if they’re from the same place. All milks must meet the USDA standards, so no matter what type you buy, they’re guaranteed to be safe. Generic cheeses and creams are also often just as good as the name brand varieties. The one generic dairy product you may want to skip is yogurt. Often, generic yogurts have more additives and sugar than established brands. For all other dairy products, buy from local farms or go for the generic brand.
