It is a gated community within commuting distance to Miami and Fort Lauderdale and in easy reach of beaches and the Florida Everglades. It has a population of 69,081 and median home price of $365,000. Family Circle Magazine named it one of the best towns for families in 2015. Florida’s department of education has rated all the schools in the area an “A”. CNN Money also listed Weston in its “Biggest Earners” list. In 2010, the median income was $93,553. Several major companies operate in the area, including Marriott International, DHL, Ultimate Software and Abbott Laboratories, which afford a variety of employment opportunities to residents.
