8) Orchard Lake Village

Orchard Lake Village is located in Oakland County and has a total area of 4.12 square miles, although 43% of that area is water. The population is approximately 2,200 people. The median age of residents is 46.9, with the population split primarily between middle aged adults and children. The per capita income in the village is $67,881. The bodies of water in the village have been points of attraction going back as far as the Native Americans, who used them for hunting and fishing. The village is split over 2 main school districts, and there is also a Catholic school for boys within the village.
