10 Wealthiest Neighborhoods in Pennsylvania

10) Rose Valley

Rose Valley, although well known today for its high per capita income of $54,202 and creative atmosphere, it was not always that way. It was really put on the map when architect Will Price came to the area in 1901 and created an arts and crafts community. Since its founding, Rose Valley has stuck to that mission and continues to pursue arts in all ventures of life. This art can be predominately seen in the architecture of the buildings. Since the homes were deigned by Will Price, most buildings maintain a turn of the century feel. The houses scream comfortable, affordable, and welcoming. Will Price wanted the buildings to fit seamlessly into the surrounding areas. He often took buildings that were already there and repurposed them. Overall, the area tends to have a rustic feel to it. One of the more popular attractions is the Rose Valley Museum which displays artwork and pottery created by local artists. The community’s pride in the arts helps to differentiate Rose Valley from other wealthy neighborhoods.
